Essack Ally

The founder and CEO is a clinical cardiac-technologist, with over 20 years of experience in the cardiovascular field, both locally and internationally. A qualified clinical technologist specialising in cardiology on both the invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures and tests.

After spending 5 years at the Wentworth Hospital Cardiology Department, Essack joined Arrow International between 1996 and 1998 as a sales consultant. In 1998 he co-founded BEC Medical which has since changed to BEM Medical, a medical supply company. In 2000 he worked as a Chief Cardiac Technologist at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital until he left for Saudi Arabia at the end of 2000 as part of a team of cardiac specialists to set up a cardiac centre at a military hospital in Saudi Arabia. Once there, he rose through the ranks to head up their Invasive Cardiac Procedure Lab where he was later honoured with A Royal Award from the Saudi Crown Prince for his contribution.

In 2007 Ally returned to South Africa to contribute to the development of our country. After much observation and drawing from his experience about growing incidents of heart disease he decided to set up the Heart Health Management Institute (HHMI) to bridge the gaps that exist in the diagnosis, treatment and management of heart patients. His interest through this initiative propelled him to come up with cardiovascular clinics concept. This is a mobile initiative based on primary health and preventive approach to heart health.
